Foley Orthodontics creates beautiful, healthy, properly aligned teeth so our patients can enjoy the physical and psychological benefits from smiles that look great and function properly for a lifetime.
Our office atmosphere is fun, friendly, relaxed and we have a fantastic view of the West Virginia mountains. We provide state-of-the-art care that incorporates advanced technology so we can provide orthodontic treatment that is more comfortable, convenient and effective than it has ever been.
Our entire staff works as a team and we take great pride in each staff members training and capabilities. Dr. Foley is a board certified orthodontist that wants you to have the best possible smile, bite, facial harmony and self-esteem as a result of our relationship.
Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Foley was born and raised in the Beckley area. He attended the College of West Virginia for two years and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at West Virginia University. He also received his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master’s Degree in Orthodontics from West Virginia University, where he graduated with honors.
He began practicing with Dr. Thomas Jarrett in 1995 and eventually bought the practice in 2005. He shares his knowledge and experience in orthodontics to residents as a Clinical Professor at West Virginia University’s Orthodontic Residency Program and is an examiner for the graduating resident board cases.
Dr. Foley is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontists and keeps up to date on the most innovative techniques in orthodontics by attending orthodontic courses all over the world. He is a member of the Schulman Study Group, a group of 120 elite orthodontists all over the United States and Canada that share their knowledge with one another to help each member have the best practice in their area.
He is a Preferred Provider for Invisalign and has visited their Costa Rica facility to assure he is providing his patients with the best Invisalign treatment possible. Dr. Foley is also certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry to provide soft tissue laser surgery. He is also a graduate of the Pankey Institute where he learned advanced techniques in occlusion and TMJ therapy.
He has been the president of the West Virginia Orthodontic Association and the West Virginia Orthodontic Alumni Association. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, West Virginia Dental Association, and the New River Dental Society.
Dr. Foley founded a charity, Smile for a Lifetime, that provides orthodontic treatment to patients that could not otherwise afford treatment. He feels that having a great smile helps you succeed in both your personal and professional life.
Dr. Foley has a son named Luke and enjoys golfing, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, farming, horses, traveling, Harley Davidson motorcycles and coaching sports.
Meet Our Staff
Savannah Styer has been an orthodontic assistant for Dr. Foley for 6 years. She married her best friend Justin 4 years ago and they enjoy anything outdoors!
Shannon has been employeed with Dr. Foley for 5 years. She has been married to her husband, Jimmy, for16 years and they have an 11 year old son, Seth. Shannon enjoys spending time with her family and gardening.
Lisa has been married for 24 years and has 4 children. She has enjoyed working for Dr. Foley for the past 5 years. Two of her childeren are in college, she has a teenage daughter that plays volleyball and softball, and a 5 year old that dances for Beckley Dance Theatre. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her children.
Kristin has been employed with Foley Orthodontics for 16 years. She is one of the first people that you will meet at to our office. Kristin takes you photographs and X-rays for your new patient consultation. She also works in the lab where she makes retainers once you have completed treatment. Kristin is blessed with a fabulous husband, Jamie and a beautiful daughter Lyric, 8 who are both the love of her life. She loves spending time with her family which also includes 6 dogs and 3 cats. Kristin loves crossfit, weightlifting, riding mountian bikes. She loves being outdoors and riding her motorcycle with her husband.
Wendy has worked in orthodontics for 28 years and has been married for 26 years. She has 2 children, who are both in college. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Becky has 31 years experience in the dental/orthodontic field. She live in Nicholas county with her husband of 32 years and their dog Sam. They have 2 daughters and a son-in-law. They enjoy spending their free time in the great outdoors.
Amanda has been an orthodontic assistant for 10 years. She is married to her wonderful husband of 17 years and together they have 3 beautiful daughters, Brianne, Chloe, and Mallory. They also have a loving boxer named Sadie. In her spare time she loves to go 4-wheeling, boating and just enjoy the out doors with her family.
Debbie has worked in the orthodontic field for 30 years. She has one son named Joshua. Debbie enjoys all things in life!
Tracey has worked at Foley Orthodontics for 15 years. She and her husband have been married for 12 years and have a 9 year old son, Mason. She enjoys spending time with my family and watching Mason play sports.
